CAM Industry Ltd. and Carter Heavy Industry Efficient Construction Cooperation Case

CAM Industry Ltd (Slovakia)

I. Project Background

CAM Industry Ltd., a comprehensive enterprise specializing in municipal engineering and small-scale infrastructure projects in Slovakia, covers businesses such as urban pipeline laying, road renovation, and residential area reconstruction. In 2024, the company undertook a drainage system renovation project in the old town of Bratislava, Slovakia, which involved complex underground pipeline construction, narrow alley excavation, and high-density residential area operations, posing extremely high requirements for equipment flexibility, reliability, and environmental performance.

II. Customer Needs and Pain Points

Complex construction environment: The width of alleys in the old town is generally less than 3 meters, making it impossible for traditional large excavators to enter. Meanwhile, the construction must avoid affecting the foundations of surrounding buildings.

Environmental protection and noise restrictions: The project is located in a residential area, requiring compliance with strict EU emission standards (Euro V) and control of construction noise to reduce resident complaints.

High-efficiency operation requirements: The project has a tight schedule, requiring equipment to quickly switch working conditions while ensuring excavation accuracy and operational efficiency.

III. Carter Heavy Industry Solutions

Based on the needs of CAM Industry Ltd., Carter Heavy Industry recommended two crawler excavators, CT08K and CT12B, and provided a customized construction plan:

1. CT08K Crawler Excavator - The Flexible Choice for Narrow Spaces

Compact body design: The overall width is only 840mm (in retracted state), easily passing through alleys under 3 meters. With retractable tracks, it enables zero-tail-swing operation in narrow areas, avoiding collisions with surrounding buildings.

Strong power and environmental performance: Equipped with a Koop Euro V engine with a rated power of 7.0kW, meeting EU emission standards. The load-sensitive hydraulic system ensures a digging force of 5.2kN, making it ideal for municipal pipeline trench excavation.

Convenient maintenance and economy: A fuel tank capacity of 7L and a hydraulic tank capacity of 14.5L reduce downtime for refueling. The average ground pressure is only 26kPa, suitable for operating on fragile surfaces like urban roads to minimize pavement damage.

2. CT12B Crawler Excavator - Balance of Efficiency and Reliability

Enhanced operation capability: With a bucket capacity of 0.03m³ and a maximum digging depth of 1809mm, it is suitable for deep drainage pipeline installation. Equipped with a Yanmar Euro V engine (rated power 10.3kW) and a working pressure of 17.5MPa, it handles complex geological conditions such as clay and gravel.

Zero-tail-swing and low-noise design: The CT12BU model adopts a zero-tail-swing structure, enabling 死角 - free rotation in narrow spaces. The engine noise reduction technology keeps the operation noise below 75dB, meeting residential construction standards.

Flexible configuration and maintenance: Optional hydraulic/mechanical operation modes adapt to different construction scenarios. Retractable tracks (width 850-1050mm) balance passability and stability, while long-life hydraulic oil filters reduce maintenance costs.

IV. Project Implementation and Achievements

Improved construction efficiency: The combination of CT08K and CT12B completed the excavation of 5.8 km of drainage pipeline trenches in Bratislava's old town, finishing 15 days ahead of schedule. Among them, CT08K excavated 300 meters of narrow alleys daily, and CT12B handled 200 cubic meters of complex geological soil daily.

Environmental protection and safety compliance: Both equipment models met EU Euro V emission standards, with no environmental protection rectification notices during construction. The zero-tail-swing design and precise control system reduced the accident rate to zero, ensuring the safety of surrounding residents and construction personnel.

Cost optimization: The low fuel consumption (CT08K consumes only 1.2L/h) and long maintenance cycle of Carter's equipment reduced project fuel and maintenance costs by 25% compared to traditional equipment, highly recognized by CAM Industry Ltd.

V. Customer Feedback

Mr. Marek, Project Manager of CAM Industry Ltd., stated: "Carter Heavy Industry's equipment completely solved our construction pain points in the old town. The flexibility of CT08K allows us to operate smoothly in narrow alleys, while the strong power and environmental performance of CT12B ensure project quality and resident satisfaction. We will continue to cooperate with Carter Heavy Industry to expand into more municipal projects in the future."

VI. Cooperation Prospect

The successful implementation of this project has established a benchmark for Carter Heavy Industry in Slovakia's municipal engineering sector. The two sides plan to deepen cooperation, applying Carter's medium-sized excavators such as CT16 and CT26 to subsequent road expansion and industrial park construction projects in Slovakia, promoting the efficient and green development of local infrastructure projects.
